For the third straight year I’m excited to announce this year’s Giving Tuesday Initiative, Stockings for Fosters. The holiday season can often be a challenging time for Foster Youths. I believe every child deserves to experience the magic of the holiday season. With your help we can provide comfort, joy, and sense of belonging during this special time of year. I will need your help to fill these stockings (drawstring bags). Many people donate items that are more for the younger fosters, we are looking for specific items that can be given to our foster teens.
What’s inside:
- Books- to inspire and entertain
- Pajamas- to ensure comfort and a restful night sleep
- Blanket- to make sure they have something to keep warm
- Art Kits-creative expression and emotional healing
- A Christmas snack-who doesn’t like treats in their stocking
- Hoping for some new items especially for our teens
